The Rundown: Kai and his group infiltrate the vault and discover something that is worth killing for.
Kai and his team are on their way to the Great Vault, but they are going to need some help in the form of Kai’s wife Kyra. As they approach and are targeted, Kyra comes through and they manage to get on board to complete their mission. Unfortunately, Kyra finds herself face to face with Xander and Warr who capture her.
As Kai and the team attempt to move deeper into the vault, their plan is exposed by Xander and the team must fight their way to the center of the vault where they manage to unlock it and discover something that could change the balance of power in the galaxy.
The Story: Snyder and Tieri craft an entertaining and thrilling story in this issue. The plot is filled with great action, but also starts with some intense moments that I really enjoyed. The moments Kai and the crew were anticipating whether they could enter the vault were filled with suspense and that suspense builds to some great moments that make me interested in seeing what happens in the next issue.
The Art: Smallman delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The action is visually stunning and filled with great emotion.
